The academic session of the Nigerian institute of journalism
opens with a new dimension this year with the first semester from January.
The introduction of various levels and lecturers started
lectures and classes as fast as possible to meet up the demand of the school’s
council and the institution academic calendar.
This year’s session examination was hoped to be the best
after so much display portrayed by the students. The first semester results
which was posted on the 27th of July, 2012 brought tears of joy and
sorrow to the students in different levels.
According to some students who are not familiar with the
school system sees this development as a means for them to study more this coming
semester examination as the results of the first semester was posted a week to
the second semester examination.
It is the tradition of the institution to release results a
week to examination so that students who failed the last semester will sit up and
study hard for the next examination so as to upgrade their gp.
According to a student in national diploma one, Bankole
Stephen,” this is my first time to see students anxious about results after all
we have heard that it is not easy to pass Nigerian institute of journalism
first semester examination”.
He added that the examination for the first semester was too
tasking and demanding because it was not that easy for him to cope with the
pressure from and school.
However, the institute released the results so that students
can be serious with the next coming examination most especially the graduating students
in national diploma two, higher diploma two and postgraduates.
