Nij Celebrates Student’s Week in Glamour



In a bid to create pulse and relaxation for students, the Nigerian Institute of Journalism authority gave a week free to students to celebrate their student’s week.
The student week featured important dignitaries like the editor of the punch newspaper, Mrs. Toyosi ogunleye,director of intervention group( dance troupe),  Segun  Adefila, to mention but a few.
According to Segun Adefila who gave lecture on the cultural day,” culture is the bed rock and strength of the nation and as such the nation must build her youth with relevant culture to embrace national development”.
He said youths should uphold the dignity of their culture since they serve as the hope of the future and be good ambassadors of this great country Nigeria.
As Nigeria is a great country of natural resources so it cultural value and as such there is need to advancement in cultural development, Adefila added.
Furthermore, the director enforced Nigerian parents to always teach their children the language, belief and custom of the nation to boost development.
Subsequently, the institution presented him with an award of excellence for his great contribution towards cultural development in the state.


Adefila advised students to take their studies serious thereby becoming better journalists in the nearest future.
